WHAT ADVISE CAN YOU GIVE STARTING BASSISTS WHO WANT TO BE LIKE YOU?
Don't expect yourself to be the best in a month. Playing bass well takes time. What helped me most I think was joining a band from day one. I never really liked playing bass alone on my room. It sounds empty and boring. And playing in a band gives you more drive to get better.
WHAT IS THE MOST CLUMSY THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
What isn't... I took being clumsy and made it into a profession.
IS THERE SOMETHING YOU WOULD NEVER EVER DO AGAIN?
I would do everything again. But if I got the chance I would do some things better.
HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU EITHER LOSE OR BREAK YOUR BASS GUITAR?
I never lost a bassguitar. I forgot it at a trainstation... And I broke my bassguitar several times. It's an object I use a lot so no wonder it get's broken.
DID WALKING AROUND NAKED EVER GET YOU IN TROUBLE?
I once got fined for walking around naked. Well actually, I was fined for jumping in the bushes. They were planning on taking me to the
policestation for walking around naked but they got an emergency call so they had to leave. Lucky me...
