IF YOU GOT LOCKED UP WITH ONE CREW MEMBER IN A ROOM FOR THREE DAYS, WHO WOULD YOU WANT IT TO BE AND WHY?
Our sound guy Chris. Because he always makes me laugh with his stupid jokes.
FOR WHAT COULD SOMEONE WAKE YOU UP ANYTIME?
I guess for a hamburger with a diet coke...I can't live without it.
IN WHAT WAY DID YOU GROW THE MOST AS A MUSICIAN THE PAST FEW YEARS?
I became more aware of my playing and my role as a drummer. Especially while recording the second Destine album. It's been a big learning experience for me.
IN WHAT WAY WOULD YOU LIKE TO DEVELOP YOURSELF THE NEXT YEARS?
I really like gospel drummers and especially the "chops". That's my goal in developing my skills the next years.
DUMBEST QUESTION SOMEONE HAS EVER ASKED YOU?
What did all your tattoos cost you?

JORDY ABOUT THE DESTINE CREW
Chris | Sound Engineer
I've known Chris for 10 years now. Really cool guy. He's a big fan of soccer team Feijenoord, so it's always fun to bully him with that. He's one of the best sound engineers I know. He always makes my drums sound like I'm playing in a stadium!
Viktor ‘Banus’ | Light Engineer & Merch Guy
Banus, what can I say..? He keeps surprising me. A night with Banus is never boring. After a couple of drinks he is unstoppable! And even when he's hammered, the things he says are absolutely true. And of course it's great to be on stage and play with his light show.
Bart ‘Goofus’ | Light Engineer & Merch Guy
I don't know Bart that well yet, but the times we were together it was great to have him around. He works hard and is always in a good mood. Can't wait to be on the road with him more often.
Gert-Jan ‘DJ Wild’ | Tour Manager & Monitor Engineer
I have one word...BEER. This guy lives for beer. And he loves Den Bosch, his hometown. He's a great tour manager. And because he's always genuine he gets a lot of stuff accomplished.

BEST TOUR EXPERIENCE
Best experience so far is recording our second album. For me it was the first time in the USA. All my ideas of how America would be like, were true. Really amazing country.
WORST MOMENT ON STAGE
Halfway a show I was feeling nauseous and dizzy so I ran off the stage and backstage I threw up. After a couple of minutes I felt good enough to finish the show.
HARDEST THING OF BEING IN A BAND
I can not think of one thing I find hard. Being in a band is the best thing in the world.
BAND MEMBER NOT TO SHARE A HOTEL ROOM WITH AND WHY?
Uh... that would be Laurens 'cause he snores very loud!
BEST GIFT FROM A FAN
An honest opinion.
SMALL OR BIG SHOWS?
BIG! For sure!

JORDY ABOUT ROBIN:
A musical genius! He's a great songwriter and a great guy. One of the best guitarists I know. Sometimes he lives in his own world, but that brings him great ideas. Give this man a guitar and he's happy... |
 |
JORDY ABOUT HUBRECHT:
Hubrecht is, in a very good way, the nerd of the band haha. He is the digital wizkid. Always organized, and plans everything in detail. He does a lot management for the band. Besides being a great guitarist, he is an outstanding pool player! |
 |
JORDY ABOUT LAURENS:
Laurens always cranks me up. It takes a little time for him to get started in the morning, but when on a roll you can expect an overload of clever jokes. Besides all the humor he can also be really serious. He directed and produced our last music videos, and also does a lot of other management stuff. And he's a great cook!

JORDY ABOUT TOM:
My coffee buddy! The most relaxed dude I've ever met. Hardly ever worries about stuff. A relaxed and down to earth friend who prefers to walk around on flip flops every day. Besides that he's an awesome bass player.

WHAT ADVISE CAN YOU GIVE STARTING DRUMMERS WHO WANT TO BE LIKE YOU?
Practice, practice, practice... Listen to as much different music as possible to learn en develop your own style. As soon as you start playing drums, join a band. Get experience with playing together and try to make music your number one priority in life.
WHICH DRUMMER IS YOUR ROLE MODEL?
My all time favorite drummer is without a doubt Travis Barker. He changed the position of the drummer in a band. His style and his looks are awesome. I've learned a lot from him.
WHICH TATTOO ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
'STAY TRUE' on my knuckles. Because what you do in life, you gotta stay true to yourself and what you believe in.
WHAT’S YOUR BEST DESTINE EXPERIENCE SO FAR?
Recording in Florida.. I had the time of my life there. Beautiful weather, nice people, good food. Just perfect!
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS?
A few trips to Florida, lots of shows, lots of touring, just rock 'n' roll!
