Lately it’s been a little less busy at Destine HQ than usually so we figured we’d update you guys a bit!

After the release of Illuminate we’ve tried to start working on new material right away, but things didn’t really work out and we weren’t satisfied with what we had done so far. We were already planning new recording sessions when the songs weren’t even written, and soon enough we realized we needed to approach the writing process different this time. When you get the chance to make playing in a band your dayjob, create music for so many people and travel around the world – the only way to do it is doing it with your entire heart. We would definitely never release music with Destine that we don’t feel is a hundred percent significant in any way. That’s one of the main reasons that we decided that the only way to create new music that we think is truly great, is not to have any schedule or deadlines for now.

We will not be touring or playing shows the next few months and you will probably not hear as much from us as you’re used to. We think it will do us good to have no obligations or pressure for some time and have the ability to work on new material whenever we feel like it.

We hope you guys will be patient with us and stay in touch!

Yesterday the 60 minute version of our documentary ‘FOOTPRINTS: a year in the life’ was broadcasted on Dutch national television. In case you’ve missed it, you can now watch it online on www.uitzendinggemist.nl. Please note: because it’s a Dutch website and broadcast there are no subtitles. You can buy the DVD with the full version of the documentary (100 minutes) in our webshop.

‘FOOTPRINTS’ BROADCASTED ON DUTCH NATIONAL TV

On Saturday 3 November Dutch television channel ‘Nederland 3′ will broadcast our rockumentary ‘FOOTPRINTS: a year in the life’. The program is called ’3 on Stage: Destine’ and will start at 23:50h. It will be a 60 minute version of the DVD.

We’re stoked that a lot of new people will see the DVD we worked so hard on for over a year. So tune in, and buy the DVD here if you want!
